Değerli öğrenciler, bu dönem dersi için 4'er kişilik her öğrenci grubu, kendileri için rastgele dağıtılacak olan 2 farklı ödev konusundan birisi üzerine proje hazırlayacaklardır.
1) CPU Donanım Projesi (HDL ile tasarım): The Elements of Computing Systems (8th Edition) kitabındaki Chapter 2,3,4,5 bölümlerindeki proje faaliyetlerinden biri seçilecektir.
2) Derleyici Yazılım Projesi (Makine/Sanal makine/Nesne tabanlı derleyici): The Elements of Computing Systems (8th Edition) kitabındaki Chapter 7,8,9 bölümlerindeki proje faaliyetlerinden biri seçilecektir.
Proje gruplarına buradan erişebilirsiniz. Her grup rastgele ve cinsiyet dengesini gözetecek şekilde oluşturulmuştur. Öğrenci grupları, gerçekleştirdikleri proje ödevlerini sözlü olarak dersten sorumlu asistanlara sunacaklar ve proje dosyalarını ileri bir tarihte ilan edilecek olan mail adresine göndereceklerdir.
Değerlendirme kriterleri ve ağırlıkları aşağıdaki gibidir:
-English Fluence in the Speech (max 15p): Sunum dili, akıcılık, terimlerin doğru/yerinde kullanımı
-Self Confidence (max 15p): Sunum hâkimiyeti, netlik, sorulara güvenle ve yapıcı yanıt verme
-Presentation Graphics and Work (max 15p): Görsel düzen, slayt okunabilirliği, yapı ve zaman yönetimi
-Technical Knowledge about the Content (max 15p): Teknik doğruluk, kapsam, yöntem/araçların doğru kullanımı
-Active Participation during the Lectures (max 40p): Dersler sırasında aktif katılım (ders yürütücüsü puanlandıracaktır.)
Her öğrenci grubunun hangi proje ödevi konusunu gerçekleştireceği, sunum takvimiyle beraber ilerleyen günlerde ayrıca ilan edilecektir. Sorularınızı dersten sorumlu asistanlara iletebilirsiniz.

Dear students,
For this semester, each group of four will prepare a project on one of two topics that will be randomly assigned to them:
1) CPU Hardware Project (Design with HDL): Groups will select one of the project activities from Chapters 2, 3, 4, or 5 in the book The Elements of Computing Systems (8th Edition).
2) Compiler Software Project (Machine / Virtual Machine / Object-Oriented Compiler): Groups will select one of the project activities from Chapters 7, 8, or 9 in the book The Elements of Computing Systems (8th Edition).
You can access the assigned project groups here. Groups have been formed randomly while maintaining gender balance. Each student group will deliver an presentation of their completed project to the course teaching assistants and will submit their project files to an email address to be announced at a later date.
Evaluation Criteria and Grading Weights:
-English Fluency in the Speech (Max 15 pts): Presentation delivery, fluency, and accurate/appropriate use of technical terminology.
-Self-Confidence (Max 15 pts): Command of the material, clarity, and responding to questions with confidence and constructiveness.
-Presentation Graphics and Work (Max 15 pts): Visual layout, slide readability, overall structure, and time management.
-Technical Knowledge about the Content (Max 15 pts): Technical accuracy, scope, and proper application of relevant methods/tools.
-Active Participation during Lectures (Max 40 pts): Active engagement during class sessions (evaluated directly by the course instructor).
